The Bezwada Bar Association
The Bezwada Bar Association was established in 1906 in the historic city of Vijayawada (Bezwada), on the banks of the Krishna River. Founded by a distinguished group of advocates committed to the rule of law and professional integrity, the association has served as the backbone of the legal community in Krishna District for over a century.
Through the decades of India's independence movement, post-independence legal reforms, and the formation of Andhra Pradesh, the Bezwada Bar Association has remained a steadfast guardian of the legal profession — advocating for judicial reforms, legal education, and the welfare of its members.
Today, with over 1,800 enrolled advocates, the association functions at the Civil Courts Campus, Gopala Reddy Road, Governorpet, Vijayawada, and maintains strong ties with the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh, and the Bar Council of India.
